Anything but Square…

Hello Friends! Well, my first post for Glitter n Sparkle today! The theme is ‘Anything but Square’, so of course I did a circular card! Unfortunately I don’t have a circular die as big as I wanted, so I hunted around the house and discovered that our breakfast bowls were the right size, so did a bit of old fashioned tracing and cutting!!

 

The image I have used is from one of our sponsors CdeeDesigns and is called ‘Rebecca’. This is the first time I have used a digi stamp – very different from traditional stamps but something I could get used to!

 

 

 

I have coloured the image with Promarkers, after much trial and error!

Exciting news!

Hello everyone! Well, some exciting news today, in the midst of my horrible week!! I have been asked to joing the Design Team over at Glitter n Sparkle!! I am really excited as they use digi images for all their challenges, along with a theme, and I've never used a digi stamp before, so looking forward to seeing what I can come up with! Challenges are posted on a Sunday, so I'll be super busy designing for both Glitter n Sparkle and Eclectic Ellapu which is also on a Sunday! Happiness is…

Hello everyone! Well, I have never been so happy on a Sunday evening before – no school for a whole week!! Last week was so tiring – sick hubby, very stressed daughter, a day and a half out of school so lots of work to catch up! The downside? I have now come down with some lurgy! The upside? A whole week to chill! Unfortunately all this meant that I didn’t get an entry in for the Eclectic Ellapu DT this week, but please stop by and support the rest of the DT – their entries for the ‘Recipe’ challenge are amazing!

 

I made this card a few weeks ago for one of the teachers at school, and she absolutely loved it! I know I had a card on here a few weeks ago with the dragonfly on it, but I absolutely love this stamp and had to use it again!

Happy 18th Birthday!

Hello Friends! Well, what an absolutely hectic week! It feels like I just haven’t stopped all week, and this afternoon is the first time I have actually sat down! Hello everyone! Welcome to the first day of Eclectic Ellapu! Our first challenge is ‘Anything Goes’ – good luck! If you have arrived at my blog from Eclectic Ellapu then welcome! My card today is for my sister-in-law who absolutely loves dragonflies! When we went out on the boat a few weekends ago she had a beautiful red coat on, so hence the red theme for the card. The papers are from BoBunny – Serenity – I absolutely love love the BoBunny ranges!

 

 The tag pulls out to be able to write a message on it…

 

 

 …There is also a little envelope on the back for somewhere to hide her present…

Into the sunset…

Hello Friends! Well, Sunday evening! This weekend has passed in a blur, but it has been absolutely fantastic! We spent the day on the narrowboat yesterday, and stopped at a pub beside the canal for lunch, and then made our way back down again. We celebrated both my mum-in-law and sister-in-law’s birthdays, and the cards I had made for them went down really well, everyone liked them! We have been at my mum-in-laws for lunch today too, so feeling really stuffed with food and really lazy, but overall a really good weekend!

 

Today’s card was another one for one of our new teachers at work for her birthday. She rides a little moped to school every day, so I thought this stamp from Lili of the Valley was very apt!
