With thanks…

Hello friends! It seems like ages since I was on last – only last week, but time has flown!!I think I’ve been enjoying the good weather too much, although you kind of have to as you never know how long it’s going to last! We went to see friends at the weekend, to spend some much needed time with them and also to watch Eurovision – I confess, we are are secret Eurovisioners!! We had a really lovely weekend, the weather played along, and we even went celebrity spotting in the nearby village! My card today is a thank you card for them and will go in the post tomorrow.

Congratulations

Hello friends! What a beautiful day we have had – gorgeous blue skies and lots of sunshine! And they say tomorrow is going to be just as warm, can’t wait!! We’ve had a really busy day at school today interviewing for a new Deputy Headteacher, and I’m pleased to say that our acting DH got the job, so very well done to her! Now at least she can get her teeth into the job properly and make it her own! Went to dancing again last night, and added more onto the chacha, so now we will be able to do something that resembles something if we ever get up to dance somewhere (that sounded better in my head!!).

Flowers with love…

Hello friends! Feels really good to be back on here again – I haven’t been very well, so lost interest in absolutely everything, but hopefully on the mend and back to normal soon!

This past week has been quite hectic as well – we went to Norwich on Monday to see my son’s first photographic exhibition – awesome! My daughter started her AS level exams, so the stress in the house is quite palpable to say the least! She has her dance practical and second Biology tomorrow, so fingers crossed everything goes to plan…

I have taken the plunge and decided to enter a few blog challenges, so here goes…

Weekend Market inspired…

Hello friends! Been having a bit of a change around, and now using Windows Live Writer, so hopefully this all works out okay!

I bought the BoBunny Weekend Market 6x6 papers  a few weeks ago, and used it to make a card for a friend’s dad who is very special to me! Hope he likes it, and hope he had a fantastic 80th birthday on Thursday!

Right, off to play more and learn how to use this properly!!

Hello friends! Long weekend at last - it's been a long time coming, although the four week countdown to half term starts on Tuesday!!!

Tonight is my cousin's 21st birthday party, far away in South Africa! So wish we could be there, but we will be there in thought! Have a great party Dani!!

Good day today!

Hello friends! Well, they do say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, or is that wishful thinking?? Anyway, hopefully I'm back on track, and will be posting a bit more regularly!

I felt quite lucky today as I was one of the winners in the Docrafts April draw, and I have won a whole Boofle Collection!!! So looking forward to receiving it all in the post! I also made a new friend today who has a fantastic blog and runs a challenge blog, so I think I might give that a try!

My card today is for a special little girl far away whose birthday it is next week. I have been trying the vintage thing on cards, and think that I am getting a bit closer!!

Persian inspired

Morning friends! Back to work today, no children yet though, so should be fairly peaceful!!

I haven't put a sentiment on my card today, it's just nice to have one in my stash that I can use for any occasion.

The dies are from Spellbinders Persian Accents - absolutely love them!

Birthday Club

Morning friends! Bank holiday Monday - the house is quiet, the whole day stretched out in front - lots of crafting to come!!

My card today is for Ann, who is part of the Birthday Club I joined. It is really difficult making a card for someone who you don't know, so I have kept it as simple and generic as possible!

I love brown and pink together, and Spellbinder dies can make anything look really elegant! I hope Ann likes it!

Back tomorrow, still have the rest of the week off work, so hopefully get lots of cards made!

Happy Easter!

Morning Friends! Happy Easter to everyone, hope the Bunny brought everyone loads of lovely chocolate! Also hope he didn't freeze his little tail off - it's freezing here, very damp and very cold!

Today's cards isn't really an Easter card, more a Spring card to remind us that it is supposed to be Spring and warming up!!!

I have the family coming over for lunch today - roast dinner, and strawberries and icecream and apple pie and icecream for dessert! Yum!!

Elegant Chair

Hello friends! Good Friday, and it was actually!! Nice and chilled, although this horrible weather is holding on!

My card today is winging its way to New Zealand as we speak, as it's my Godmother's birthday next week. I couldn't really go for anything too elaborate as it had to go in the post, so I kept it as simple and elegant as possible!

More pink roses!

Morning friends! Well the sun is shining this morning, but still chilly, so there might be hope for my two weeks off yet!!

This is a birthday card for my deputy headteacher at school! I have used some paper I had in my stash which has vintage postcards all over it. I used my trusty Spellbinders to cut out a layer, some ribbon , distressed all the edges, inked all the edges with tattered rose distress ink and added some lovely roses from Orchid Crafts!
