More men!

Happy New Year's Eve!!! So what's everyone doing today? We are at friends who we only see about once a year, at New Year, so looking forward to having a good evening tonight with good friends, good food, and lots of bubbles at midnight!

Today's card is another man's card. I got a new distress ink (peeled paint) and got a bit carried away with it - the background paper was originally black and white! Resorted to the cogs again, and embossed them too!

Hope all have a fantastic New Year, and I'll be back tomorrow to start the New Year off with a bang!

Men!

Morning Blogland! Busy day today - hairdressers (to look good for the New Year), and giving blood (a good deed to start the New Year!).

Another man's card today - this one really easy, just layered up embossed papers and made a frame with my Spellbinders!

Have a good day everyone!

Masculine

Morning friends! Well, hit the sales this morning, and was rather glad that I didn't attempt to earlier on in the week, as I found nothing that interested me, so I went off to the local craft store and bought some bits and bobs there instead! I justified to myself that spending the same in the craft shop on what a top would have cost me was much better, and I would get so much more use from them than the top!!

Today's card is one of the many masculine ones for birthdays in January. The papers came free with a craft magazine, and bit of inking, Spellbinders dies, Tim Holtz cogs, and there you go!

Last free afternoon, so off to make more cards, and I found a gorgeous photo that my partner took at Christmas, so have some ideas for scrapping that too! Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Circles...

Morning bloggers! It's so peaceful here, I have the house to myself for the first time since school broke up! Today's offering is a birthday card which is going in the post to South Africa, for my soon-to-be cousin-in-law! I have developed a liking for circles, so just went with it!

Hope everyone has a good day - I'm off to make more cards and try and build up a stock! I transfered all the birthdays onto my electronic calendar last night and realised I had better get myself organised quick - the first one is on the 1st January!!

See you tomorrow

Christmas thank you's...

Hello blog friends! Well, it's all over for another year, but already thinking about Christmas cards for next year, and how I'm going to be so organised!!! Watch this space!!

Today's cards are thank you cards for presents and such, and have been made in triplicate to be sent to those to need them - I am making many as we have all been really spoilt!! I think Santa's sleigh broke down on our roof and he just emptied a whole bag down the chimney to lighten the load!!

I've got the rest of the week at home, so lots of card making (hopefully) in amongst house cleaning and getting ready for New Year! Until tomorrow then!

Going slightly poinsettia mad!!

Morning blogland! Today's blog has gone slightly mad! I sat watching TV and cut out loads and loads of poinsettias, and made present tags and toppers for cards from them!

Hope everyone has a really fantastic Christmas Eve - only one more sleep!!!

And more...

Hello blog friends! Well, I have had such a busy week, and thought that I had set the scheduler, but me and my computer skills obviously didn't match, so hence no posts! Never mind, I'll blame it on all the Christmas spirit!!

Today's card is another snowflake card, this one I made in a batch for all of our close friends and family.

Two more sleeps til Christmas - so excited!!!

More snowflakes!

Hello blogland! Finally broken up from school for the Christmas holidays - yay!! The Christmas tree is up and the Christmas wreath is on the front door, so all set indoors. Only a few more presents to buy, and will get the rest wrapped up soon to go under the tree, then just waiting for the big day!!

I'm still making Christmas cards, probably will still be on Christmas Eve! I vow every year to get myself more organised and have everything done way before Christmas, but every year I end up in the same boat as before! The card today is for my in-laws. I've stuck with the snowflake theme as my partner Graham really loves them!

Hope you all have a really good day, and will be back tomorrow with another card!

Daisy

Hello blogland! We had Christmas dinner at school today - very yummy, now just can't wait for the real thing!!

Today's blog is a scrapbook layout that I created, inspired by a photo of my Westie Daisy. I have used the Spellbinders Daisy die for the flowers, and pleated some ribbon across the bottom.

Well, only two more days left at work, then able to make lots of cards!

Butterfly birthday

Hello blogland! Back to birthday cards - well for special people anyway! I love pink and I love butterflies, so put them together and it resulted in my niece's birthday card!

The butterflies wings were all up, so I made an envelobox for it too, as I didn't want it squashed! Let me know what you think...

Two for one Christmas!

Hello everyone! Had a really hectic week, so no posts, but hopefully back on schedule now, so back to card making!

An old friend asked me to make Christmas cards for her son and daughter - what do you think?

I made enveloboxes for both cards, and decorated the fronts with a snowflake and poinsettia respectively. On my way now to deliver them - hope she likes them!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Forever Friends Christmas...

Hello blogland! Well, what a busy weekend, and forgot to set the scheduler, so no posts!! Never mind, just carry on today!!

Today's card is  Forever Friends decoupage, which I sat and made a load of one night. They turn out to be really quick toppers, as you can see from the card. Hope you like!

Until tomorrow, hope you all had a good start to the working week!

Christmas!!

Hello blogland! First Christmas card on today - this is a very simple one, aimed at one of the single gentlemen we have as neighbours! I used Spellbinders dies and layered them up with a bit of distress inking, and there you have it!!

Weekend tomorrow - what does everyone have planned?

Hat pins

Hello everyone! After a stressful day I like nothing better than to come home, slippers on, and sit down at my craft table! Today I have tried to make my own 'hat pins', using beads and good ole Pinflair! I think I succeeded, what do you think?

The papers are from Hunkydory again, Dressing Room, and I though this was very appropriate for my sister-in-law who makes costumes for some of the West End shows!

Have a good day everyone, first of the month, official countdown to Christmas begins - 24 more sleeps!

Vintage

Hello everybody! Well today started as a really rainy blustery day, the type of 'stay at home and craft' day, but alas, work beckoned, and  won, so had to keep the crafting til  tonight.

My card is in the vintage style - I love working with browns, and hope that you all like it too!

Have a good day, and remember to wrap up warm and dry!

Subtle pink!

Hello blog friends! Today's card is a very simple one, made with the 'Dressing Room' pack from Hunkydory. I love the subtle pink colour scheme, now just got to think of someone to give it to!

Hope you all have a good day!

50th birthday

Hello blogland! Monday morning, back to work, although only 3 weeks til Christmas holidays!

This is a 50th birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law's birthday. She loves sunflowers, so tried to keep to the yellow flowers theme. I used co-ordinations cardstock on the background, and embossed it with a brick-wall effect. The '50' numbers were very necessary - who can celebrate such a big birthday without shouting it out to the world!!!

Hope everyone has a good start to the working week!

Just for you...

This is a birthday card for a friend at work. The blue and white colour scheme is one that I don't often use, but I love the way the embossing folder shows up on the paper. I was apprehensive about embossing on top of a patterned paper, but am rather chuffed with the way it came out!

I made an envelobox to put the card in as I didn't want to squash the tiny roses on the front of the card.

Hope everyone is getting ahead with their Christmas shopping, more so than me at any rate!

Here we go...

Welcome to my blog! First post, so fingers crossed this all goes okay!

I decided to create a blog as I love making cards, and this is a way to motivate me to make more and put them out there where you can see them and (hopefully) leave comments! You never know, you might see your card on here before you get it in the post!!

Hope you enjoy seeing the cards as much as I enjoy making them.

I made this card for a friend for her birthday, and love the way the roses came out (please excuse my photography skills!).
