Vintage

Hello everybody! Well today started as a really rainy blustery day, the type of 'stay at home and craft' day, but alas, work beckoned, and  won, so had to keep the crafting til  tonight.

My card is in the vintage style - I love working with browns, and hope that you all like it too!

Have a good day, and remember to wrap up warm and dry!

Subtle pink!

Hello blog friends! Today's card is a very simple one, made with the 'Dressing Room' pack from Hunkydory. I love the subtle pink colour scheme, now just got to think of someone to give it to!

Hope you all have a good day!

50th birthday

Hello blogland! Monday morning, back to work, although only 3 weeks til Christmas holidays!

This is a 50th birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law's birthday. She loves sunflowers, so tried to keep to the yellow flowers theme. I used co-ordinations cardstock on the background, and embossed it with a brick-wall effect. The '50' numbers were very necessary - who can celebrate such a big birthday without shouting it out to the world!!!

Hope everyone has a good start to the working week!

Just for you...

This is a birthday card for a friend at work. The blue and white colour scheme is one that I don't often use, but I love the way the embossing folder shows up on the paper. I was apprehensive about embossing on top of a patterned paper, but am rather chuffed with the way it came out!

I made an envelobox to put the card in as I didn't want to squash the tiny roses on the front of the card.

Hope everyone is getting ahead with their Christmas shopping, more so than me at any rate!

Here we go...

Welcome to my blog! First post, so fingers crossed this all goes okay!

I decided to create a blog as I love making cards, and this is a way to motivate me to make more and put them out there where you can see them and (hopefully) leave comments! You never know, you might see your card on here before you get it in the post!!

Hope you enjoy seeing the cards as much as I enjoy making them.

I made this card for a friend for her birthday, and love the way the roses came out (please excuse my photography skills!).
