Masculine

Hello Everyone! Well, Sunday again, which means another challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! It’s my turn to host the challenge this week, and I have chosen the theme of ‘Masculine’! I always struggle with Masculine cards, so what better way to face my fears than make it into a challenge! Please pop over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with!

Well, quite a busy week  this week. It was my father-in-law’s 80th birthday on Wednesday, so this is who my card was made for. It is also my other half’s birthday today, so we’ve been out and about visiting parents after we went out for breakfast this morning – quite a yummy start to the day, pancakes, bacon and maple syrup!!

For my card, I tried to incorporate the things that my father-in-law likes – trains, vintage, he used to work for the post office, and I found some fantastic papers from Kaiser Craft (Vintage Timeless) which had all of these things!

I have also discovered Frantage embossing powders!! They are so cool – I embossed the door hinge with it – it makes it look like vintage metallic, such fun to do, you have to try it!

What I have used:
Papers – Kaiser Craft
Tim Holtz – Hardware Findings

I would like to enter the following challenges please:
Here Come the Boys – Lots of Layers
Crafts 4 Eternity – Very Vintage
Paper Crafting Journey – Bingo (Sentiment, Embossing, Brads)

Thank you for stopping by, and hope to see you again soon!

Love and light

Claire, this is a great challenge and I love your card. The peek-a-boo sentiment is cool! I know what you mean though with really being challenged here. But, I gave it a try anyway. ~Trisha

This is a great male design, love the vintage feel of it! I like how you've hidden the sentiment under the circle with image - a nice little detail.
