Hello friends! Well, I’ve had an absolutely fantastic weekend, most of it spent at Sir Stampalot! I was there on Saturday when Clare Rowlands of Molly Blooms stamps was there giving a demonstration of her new stamps. They are absolutely beautiful, and gave lots of inspiration and ideas. I was not able to attend the class yesterday, but by all accounts it was really good. I spent most of the day at Sir Stampalot again today, as there was a Christmas demonstration by Louis and Chris, two very talented ladies! I learnt lots from Lou, especially about colouring with my new Distress Markers, so hopefully my colouring endeavours will be a bit more palatable!
My card today is for my friend at work’s daughter who turns 21 on Wednesday. I spent about 5 hours on it but I am so pleased with the results, and really hope that she likes it too! I have made the roses from Tim Holtz Grunge Paper, which Chris showed me how to use the last time she did a demo at Sir Stampalot, and the technique is based on one by Sue Wilson on her blog. I had lots of fun, got very inky fingers, but it took me almost 2 hours to make five flowers!!
The bow and key charm are attached to a tag which get pulled out:
The inside of the card has been given a little attention too, and I have embossed the butterfly onto the paper that I have lined the card with:
